RetroTekUSA Inc., are delighted to support another new important customer – NYS Department of Transportation, following their purchase of the RetroTek-D Mobile Retroreflectometer Unit. One of our installation engineers provided onsite hands-on practical training to the two nominated survey operators on installing, calibrating the system and performing test survey runs. Our RetroTek engineer also provided training on the use of the QuickView-Pro software for processing survey data, visualizing results and reporting outcomes.
The NYSDOT team were also shown how to have comparable retroreflectivity measurements using their handheld retroreflectometer. The team remarked how easy the system was to use compared to other survey systems they had worked with. The RetroTek system will form a key part of their road survey plans in 2026 as they work towards MUTCD compliance on mandatory minimum levels of pavement marking retroreflectivity.
